I can not access the Clam Sentinel web site now, although I could earlier in the day. I wonder if it has been taken off the web by Source Forge due to inactivity. The last version was released in 2014, and there has been no development since then. Clam Sentinel no longer provides sufficient protection for users, so it should be uninstalled if you are using it. It offers no resident protection against today's rampant script viruses, such as javascript and Power Shell, and the Clam AV signatures are only good for a second opinion scanner. Of course, if you are using a Windows XP (or older) computer, it is better than nothing. Let's hope we can keep Clam AV/ClamWin alive and improve them a bit.
Regards,
UPDATE
Clam Sentinel site is now up. Guess Source Forge was performing some maintenance. However, what I said above about Clam Sentinel still goes--it offers very poor user protection unless someone can improve it. If anyone wants to try, I have new heuristics for it.
Regards.

Well, he is not very good, and he has a lot of false positives. But it's not bad anyway. It also works under Win 2000 and 98 for those who still have it.

I still use it myself, just so I have a backup real-time scanner that does not conflict with my primary scanner, but it is very out-of-date. It can not detect the new fileless malware, and javascript and Power Shell scripts. It should not be used as a primary scanner.
