Error on big file

Hi,

The system O.S. is Ubuntu 15.10
The clamscan version is: ClamAV 0.98.7/23250/Thu Mar 30 06:35:18 2017

When clamscan scan a zip file with a size of 1.6 GB I get the next error messages:
LibClamAV Warning: fmap: map allocation failed
LibClamAV Error: CRITICAL: fmap() failed
This message also appears when the option --max-filesize=100M or --max-scansize=100M are used.
The error message is not a real problem.
The problem is that the return value is 2 instead of 0.
It is necessary that I can check either the clamscan succeed without it finds virus or not.
Now the return value is not equal 0 also when no virus is found.

How can I solve this?

These forums are for the ClamWin open source antivirus, which runs on Windows. We can not provide any help with Clam Av , which runs on Linux. Since you are using the Ubuntu version of Linux, you must be using Clam AV. It does appear, however, that you are not using the latest version of Clam AV. I suggest that you upgrade to the latest verson and see if that helps.

Regards,

In my opinion, Ubuntu version always create mess regarding configuration and troubleshooting. So, it is better to upgrade it to lighter one!
