The ClamWin developers do not concern themselves with virus detection. They port the Clam AV scanning engine for Linux email servers over to Windows. Clam AV is responsible for all detection and virus signatures. ClamWin does have a memory scan, but it does not get deep into processes--it only scans the files in memory for a virus signature.
