Recently, every time I run clamwin, it removes malwarebytes anti-malware. Does it need to be added to exclude list??
It comes up as win.worm.chir-2496. If that is not the case, I will submit the files.

With any anti-virus and anti-malware programs should be excluded from each other to prevent such things from happening. They can cause conflicts with each other, much like what it is doing now with your PC.
You might also want to send a false positive report to the ClamAV team so they can fix it. Please make sure you include the file and a virustotal report when you send it.

One thing that concerns me, is that every time I re-install malwarebytes, I get a cookie that redirects my verizon e-mail login to a bad site (looks official, but security image is not there). The 2 products have worked fine together for a few years. Will re-install malwarebytes, run virus scan, quarantine, and post files to clamwin.

I ran the files through virustotal.com, and Clamwin was the only one of 56 antivirus detectors that considered it a virus. Will upload as false positive.

Did Malwarebytes detect this cookie at all? Usually Malwarebytes is pretty good when it comes to that kind of stuff. Malwarebytes is good as a cure, but as a vaccine/prevention, that's a different story.

Did you get Malwarebytes from their web site? If you did not, uninstall it and download from the official site. Some download sites are not above making some money by installing PUPs and PUAs along with their downloads. Check with Malwarebytes if you continue to have problems

Welcome, and thanks for using ClamWin. Remember that the developers recommend that ClamWin should be used along with a real-time, on-access virus scanner. ClamWin is only an on-demand scanner that scans for viruses when you tell it to or as you have it scheduled.
