Continuing my search for the meaning of the Error Code 2147942667, I found an article in Microsoft TechNet that explained my problem: I had entered the Path and Executable Name in the apopropriate field in Task Scheduler. It was a pathname that included spaces, ie: "C:\Program Files (x86)\....", and the quotes were acceptable in that instance. However, the field "Start In" for the pathname for the executable to run in, will not accept quotes, even though the pathname may have spaces in it.
Removed the quotes in the "Start In" field, and it worked! So, I solved my own problem. Ha! Thanks. REHAKES |

Thanks for the information. So you didn't have any problem with the command line. That's good. I have been unable to make much use of the command line in ClamWin since version .95.

I'm not absolutely sure. Everything seems OK with no errors reported, but I have not yet been able to get it to scan recursively through an entire drive by using "--recursive=yes -f C:\" (without quotes). I plan to try other ways to get it going, though.
