I am running a Win 7 Machine W/SP1 x64 based PC. I just tried Clamwin to locate a Browser Search engine Hijacker that stops any attempt to replace it 'Safesearch'. I changed the default parameters to move any infected files to a quarantine folder which was shown by Clamwin. Several nasty Trojans were found and at least one adware generator.

When I tried to access the quarantine directory I could not find it at all! I followed the path from the report but the quarantine folder does not exist?
Why not have a direct link to whatever location the program is currently set to use? The scan took nearly two hours and I would not do it again with the same result. I will uninstall and try something else if that happens.

Am I missing some 'link' to the folder? Any help would be appreciated!

The ClamWin quarantine folder will most likely be in either:

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\.clamwin folder or

C:\Users\All Users\.clamwin folder

Have you checked these locations to see if they are there?

Alternatively, you can also go into your ClamWin install directory and located a file called "QRecovery.exe". This will allow you to manage the quarantine.

Make sure you have enabled to view hidden files/folders in Control Panel,Fiolders, View.

It is sometimes tough to remove an existing virus infection. I suggest you use Malwarebytes Free--enable rootkit detection. If that doesn't work, Use Dr. Web Cureit and Kaspersky TDSSkiller.
