is there a active irc channel for clamwin

Unfortunately, there is not, however phpbb does offer IRC channels.

phpbb is notrealted clamwin at all yes there used to be one i was just asking if it chaned server it was on freenode and it was #clamwin we shold get it active again and i thnk it time for someon e to update the site it outof date as well

Alch did mention he wanted to update the whole website, not just the forums. Maybe after he updates the website, he can re-enable some of the disabled stuff, like Private messaging and such. I think he also mentioned e wanted a hand on it, too, so if you know anyone who does web designing who is willing to volunteer to touch up the ClamWin site and forums, please have them contact Alch here: https://www.clamwin.com/component/option,com_contact/task,view/contact_id,1/Itemid,64/

At this point in time, I don't think the developers of ClamWin are interested on setting up another IRC. You are right, though, an IRC would speed up communication with support and development between each other rather then just sending emails which takes sometime to reply.

I had plans to set up a IRC channel for my gaming community, maybe I could set one up for ClamWin, but only if Alch (owner of ClamWin) agrees to it.

why not just join the the freenode one im in there 24/7
