Do you mean to move it to another folder besides the default? If you do, I think you need to configure it via the file locations tab so that the configuration file reflects the new locations for clamscan, freshclam, and database. It will not work otherwise. Afterwards, I would reboot, if possible.

Thanks for your advice. Just a few problems. Manually changing the registry wasn't an issue, but trying to delete the file "ExpShell.dll", was a bit of a pain. That required re-booting to my backup OS and doing it from there. Once it worked, i was pleased to see that all my settings were the same. All in all, an interesting exercise.
