I have had contact with the owner of J.L Antivirus, a simple anti-virus project much like ClamWin. I have asked if they would be willing to do a merge with our software. What they offer to us is a real-time protection module and more additions to our database. If they ClamWin team agrees to this, they will begin construction of a real-time protection module for ClamWin. If not, I will tell them that we aren't interested. By the way, I might have pretended that I owned ClamWin for this to work. I will clear that up with him once this is all over. What do the developers say? I have already done the liberty of asking his experiences and willingness to expand upon it.

So I figured I'd fill in on my support for ClamWin. I failed to find anyone willing to build us a real-time protection. J.L never contacted me back after I last emailed them. The best I did so far was able to find some people willing to beta test and help with malware hunting for the database.

A month ago, while present via the steam community (a gaming/IM program used worldwide) I and a few other members of ClamWin made a group to help extend support for ClamWin. We have special offers for anyone who can help ClamWin by donating, beta test, help translate, or help code. We have had a few members already donate to you guys and a few willing to help beta test already. This is the best I can do. Our group is growing large and I will help ClamWin gain more support. If anyone has steam installed on their computer, you can follow up on our progress here: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/ClamWin

I really didn't want to have to come here. but I am wondering on something. We are developing a website for our community. It is going to be designed for fundings for both my group and ClamWin. The problem is I don't know anyone who can develope a phpBB forums. Considering that ClamWin uses phpBB, I am wondering if anyone here can lend me a hand? We are planning to use a phpBB forums on our website, much like ClamWin does. Does anyone here know how to develope one for us? Much appreciate.

When I was working php malware for Clam AV, I was usually able to find some good information about a specific php malware from the php user community. There are some very loyal php users--of all types. Php is very popular, and I am sure there are also lots of books on it as well.

Regards and good luck,

I am pleased to say that our website is now online and we have our own discussions for the ClamWin project where I will post news and information about ClamWin there. The URL is https://communitytrade.clanservers.com/phpBB3/index.php If anyone would like to join our website, you may feel free to do so.

I could use someone with your expertise on PHP over at our forums, GuitarBob. If you are interested, feel free to e-mail me.

Between my work with Clam Sentinel, ClamWin testing/website, and my guitar (55 copyrighted songs), my time is pretty well maxed out. I'm actually trying to cut back on the AV stuff. I will try to look in occasionally as time permits. Good luck with the site!
