I decided to create a logo for avatars or sprays (e.g. for games) for ClamWin. I am using this as sprays for games to help spread the work about ClamWin. I would like to get a community based opinion on it if it looks good or anyway we can improve on it. The idea was to make it look attractive and worth checking out, but since ClamWin is a basic Anti-Virus, I decided to keep the logo basic. What do you guys think? Feel free to edit it or post a different design.

I like it! The arrows give it a sense of movement. Too bad you were not around a few years ago when they picked the current ClamWin logo.

I thought that would be a really good header for the logo. Also, since there is a 1.0 version coming soon, it's not too late to change the logo.

There will not be a ClamWin version 1.0 until Clam AV releases theirs, and they usually have only 1 or 2 releases per year. They are currently at version .98.1, so there are lots of numbers to use up before 1.0. I have not heard anything from the ClamWin developers other than 1.0 was about 60% finished back in October. It's not like there is a large specialized staff that is working on it. These two guys do it in their spare time, and sometimes they can get to a point that requires more time/effort. I am beginning to think that Cisco/Sourcefire is planning on doing something in the cloud (see https://www.clamav.net/lang/en/2014/02/22/introducing-openssl-as-a-dependency-to-clamav/) with Clam AV, which might complicate ClamWin's development. ClamWin is 100% dependent upon what is done with Clam AV. Cisco/Sourcefire does not have any concern for ClamWin, and they have their own AV in Immunet AV, which is partly commercial.

Anyway the ClamWin developers have lots of suggestions here.

I was wondering if anyone would have a few minutes to spare and touch up my avatar for me? If you zoom in on it, you will see what I mean. You will have to use something other then paint, as it won't work with paint. I don't have steady hands to do it myself and also I don't have the time or software to do so. If you are interested, you could either download a copy and then attach it to your reply on this topic or email me at slinger1410 at yahoo dot com.

RRK: I changed your address a bit to keep any web spam crawlers from automatically detecting it. By now, however they may be smart enough to put it all together. Please forgive my paranoia!

Someone was willingly to update my avatars for me and gave me the original and another he liked better. Which one does the community like better and I will use this as my avatars and sprays for every social media, IM, and games I have.

I vote for the original. The words seem sharper, and I like the blue and white colors.

I actually think it may look sharper if the entire background was white. That might make the blue logo and the red lettering "pop" more. All other writing could be in black and would provide nice contrast.

Just my opinion Smile .

Nice work so far.

EDIT: Too funny....that would make it look nearly identical to the logo on the ClamWin website main page:

+1. That would be a good idea to put a new one on the homepage, but I guess that's up to the developers on that idea.
