I run family key logger in stealth mode on my PC.
I run calmwin portable from my removable media memory stick.
I scan the main memory. But it cannot detect key logger processing in main memory in stealth mode.
So I scan System32 where key logger is installed. It can't detect.
I cannot access it that directory from window explorer. Because it is hidden.
so I have to type "svcl32" in run command.
I think your AV can't read files in hidden mode.
I will be if next db update can detect KLogger.
I also scan the host with clamwin before I use in a cyber cafe.

Keylogger is not a virus, did you try enabling "Detect Potentially Unwanted Apllications"?


Clamwin works just fine with hidden files, all you need to do is configure windows explorer to show hidden files and then either right-click on it in Windows explorer or ClamWin GUI. If you scan s:\windows\system32 folder it will look in hidden folders, try putting eicar test file there.

As fas as I know klogger is not a virus - it does not spread itself and requires an installation to run.

I have tried lots of ways.
Eventhough I configure in Folder option/view. I can't find SVCL32 folder in System32.
I also configure in clamwin checking "Detect Unwanted Apps".
Though KeyLogger is not a virus, I want to be safe when I use at a cyber cafe.

And how can I sent virus sample to clamwin?

See if other AVs at Jotti recognize your file as infected--upload it to Jotti at https://cgi.clamav.net/sendvirus.cgi on the Web for scanning. If they do, then go to the ClamAV virus submisson page at https://cgi.clamav.net/sendvirus.cgi on the Web and tell them what other AVs spot it and upload a copy of it there.

ClamAV has an email scanner orientation, and so does ClamWin because it is so dependent upon ClamAV. For additional protection out in the wild, I suggest using the free version of ThreatFire or the free version of WinPatrol along with ClamWin. They are both behavior blocker software, which should give you some additional protection.

In order to uninstall Family Keylogger you will need to open the control panel on your computer. You then need to click on add/remove programs and select Family Keylogger. Now you need to click on the remove/uninstall program.

Can't you visible the family keylogger by hotkey? I used anykeylogger for a year and I always visible it via hotkey I set.
