Hi.......My computer was operating very slow, I downloaded CCleaner from the internet. I heard that it is one of the best alternative to speed up the system. But I want to know if it is safe or not?? I hope I don't get into more trouble.

CCLeaner is probably fine, but in general you want to be careful with these kinds of tools. Here is a post by miekiemoes from Malwarebytes: https://miekiemoes.blogspot.com/2008/02/registry-cleaners-and-system-tweaking_13.html

I agree. The most important thing is to get rid of applications you do not need, and do not install anything else unless you really do need it. If you are concerned about the safety of an application, you do not need it. The more you put on your computer, the more things can go wrong. Use the regular Windows system tools for cleaning your machine.
