Hi Team and Users!
first of all - thanks for Clam on Windows. I use it often and it protects when i want to. Wonderful.
My Question :
How can i stop ClamWIN to scan dedicated and static directories?
- I know the "Filter" Option but it seems to ignore my wish to filter out my POP3 Directories.
The Filter i set up is i.e. :
C:\DONTSCANTHISDIR
After a full scan by task the Log says something like :
C:\DONTSCANTHISDIR "Access denied"
Which tells me that ClamWin tried to scan the directory - even if i set up the Filter to do not so.
Any Idea?

Thanks for using ClamWin!
Yes, it appears that ClamWin tried to scan that folder but couldn't because access was denied--don't know why access denied. Anyway, perhaps your filter was set up wrong. This works for me: C:\Malware\* when I want to filter an entire folder. Include the star and see what happens.
By the way, ClamWin will ignore the filter when you do a manual scan of a file.

Hi, thanks for the follow up!
Filter is set many ways to get to Rome.
Wildcards are used and a test set of regexp, also. i.e.
Dont scan C:\DONTSCAN and any files in it
C:\DONTSCAN\* or
C:\DONTSCAN\*.*
or as regexp
<C>
The only way that works for me is :
C:\DONTSCAN\THISFILE.TYPE
or
*.TYPE
Anything wrong with this up there?
ANd - of course. If a file is specified the filter wont work, that makes sense and is needed.

If something else works okay for you, that is fine. I've had trouble with getting command line statements to work for me since version .95.

I work with clamav on linux command line - in there is everything okay.
My solutions for ClamWIN doesn´t work at all, thats my problem.
None of the Filters above do what they should.

As I said, starting with ClamWin version .95, something changed. I have been unable to prepare virus signatures for HTML since then because I cannot use a batch file to capture the 3 temp files (HTML, JS, and notags) for inspection.
