The ClamWin program is free for Windows users who use Windows 98 on up through Windows 7. There is no paid version. ClamWin on scans your computer when you do a manual scan or when you have scheduled a scan. It does not scan your computer in real-time as files are placed on it. The Clam Sentinel program (also free, but it is a separate project) lets you use ClamWin as a real-time scanner as files are added, modified, or copied to your computer. It also has its own heuristic scanning engine that detects many viruses for which ClamWin does not have a signature. Clam Sentinel is available at https://sourceforge.net/projects/clamsentinel/ on the web.
ClamWin uses the scanning engine and virus signatures provided by Clam AV, which is a free AV for Linux computers.
