Hi all,

I am just wondering if ClamWinPortable scans all files I copy/transfer or saved on the USB drive in real time?
Or do I need to manually launch the software to scan each files?

ClamWin Portable is just like ClamWin--it is just an on-demand scanner and does not have any real-time capability. You will have to manually do a scan whenever you want.

However, the little Clam Sentinel program (a separate project from ClamWin) adds a real-time front end to ClamWin. Clam Sentinel also has its own heuristic scanning engine, which is not too bad. It can be used with either ClamWin or ClamWin Portable to enable real-time scanning. The Clam Sentinel web site/download is at https://sourceforge.net/projects/clamsentinel/ on the web. Be sure to read the Simple Guide, which is included in the download package. Among other information, it will tell you what you need to do to set it up to work with ClamWin Portable. The current version of Clam Sentinel is 1.16, but I believe that the new version 1.17 will be available soon. It is improved a bit with each new version, so there are no "cosmetic" versions.
