setup-nodb versions (I have been informed in the past) don't ask something like "an older version of clamwin is running, do you want me to kill it?"
clamwin-0.97.2-setup-nodb.exe does ask that question.

It looks to me like some changes have been made to the installer(s). I couldn't get ClamWin registered as a Windows product until I did a full install, and I don't recall doing that before. Win98 users have also mentioned they can't get ClamWin to update until they do a complete install.
We may have to live with this for a while until the next version.
