Hello together,

i've been a little bit surpriesed about the installation of the "ask toolbar".

We use the silent installation method by the installation of clamwin: "/sp- /silent /norestart", to update clamwin on our computers. Now the new 0.95.3 will install the "ask toolbar" by this silent install process.

I've been searching for a solution to make the installation without the "ask toolbar", because we don't want to install this on our network.

Did anyone knows about an installation option to prevent it?

This must go through the "/COMPONENT" Option - but there is nothing to found...how can i determine the components of the clamwin install?

Please give me a hint about it...

Thank you
Alexander

There will be no Ask toolbar installed if you use /NOTB parameter:

setup.exe sp- /silent /norestart /NOTB

Funny thing is, it still installs the toolbar executable:

That's a paste from a log file created when I ran this:

c:\clamscan\clamwin-0.96.2.1-setup.exe /sp- /silent /norestart /log="\\apvdbs03\Public\clamscans\installlogs\%COMPUTERNAME%_x.log" /NOTB

This worked for me, maybe try it NOT in capital letters? I just added /notb at the end of mine and verified it didn't install. I agree this should have been opt in by default though, this blindsided me after sending this as a silent install to hundreds of clients.
