If I scan with avast, it finds the virus in an exe that I have. It is getting changed my something. It returns that the file is infected with trojan.win32:patched-rr. Is this a know missed virus? I am new to this forum. Is this the way to report missed viruses by clamwin? Here is a definition of it: https://www.f-secure.com/v-descs/trojan_win32_patched.shtml

Welcome to ClamWin!

Clamwin uses the scan engine and virus signatures provided by the Clam AV project (used by Linux email servers). Virus activity, whether undetected viruses or falsely-detected viruses should be reported to Clam AV at https://www.clamav.net/lang/en/sendvirus/ on the web. Clam AV has a form to fill out, and then you upload the file with the undetected virus or false positive to them. They will usually take care of it within a couple of days.

ClamWin does not have a real-time/on-access scanner that scans for viruses when files are placed on your computer. It scans on-demand when you do a manual scan or run a previously-scheduled scan. If you are on the web a lot, you should have a real-time scanner and use ClamWin as a backup. Some capable (and free) real-time scanners are: Microsoft's Security Essentials, Avira's AntiVir, Alwil's Avast, and AVG. The Clam Sentinel project (not related to the ClamWin project) at https://sourceforge.net/projects/clamsentinel/ on the web also provides a free program that lets you use ClamWin as a real-time scanner. ClamWin must be installed before you can use Clam Sentinel.
