ERROR: Malformed database.
This is the message i get when i attempt to start a virus scan of any file, the scan does not last anylonger then a second before i get this message. Has anybody else suffered this problem and if so can thay please tell me how to fix it.

I get this every once in a while. This means that, for some reason, the database flles have become contaminated. You can solve the problem by going to the ClamWin database folder and deleting the files in it with the extensions cld and cvd. There are three such files at present. Then do a manual download. You can identify the location of the database folder from the File Locations folder. If you have been preparing some custom signatures of your own, one of them could be malformed, so you will have to find/correct it or just delete the entire custom signature file.
