ClamWin Free Antivirus :: View topic

Dear Sir,

I have recently upgrade to Window 7 from Vista.

I cannot open the Clamwin scanner anymore.

An error message "An error occurred while starting Clamwin Free Antivirus Scanner. Errno: 22 Invalid argument.

How can I fix this problem?

check your %comspec% variable. It sometimes becomes invalid during OS upgrade.

I have checked with the Comspec. The result is:-

ComSpec=C:\WINNT\system32\cmd.exe

Is it correct for Window 7?

no it should be
ComSpec=c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe

Hi,

I have changed it to

ComSpec=c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe

The result is the same. Still cannot open the Clamwin.

try to uninstall and reinstall clamwin
