I haven't noticed the network traffic until I upgraded Clamwin today.
I looked into the registry and saw Clamtask.exe as a logon option.
How do I change that setting so it doesn't load at logon?
The entry looks like this:
"C:\Program Files\ClamWin\bin\ClamTray.exe" --logon

You've answered it yourself - just delete it from the registry.
If you want, there are programs that monitor that key all the time/on demand and let your prevent/remove programs that do it without permission or at least an official way to remove them.

I will delete that entire line from that key in the registry.
If Clamwin stops working I can always reload it.
Many thanks for the help/confirmation.
I do use Spybot, and Spyware Blaster among others, but it seems "they" keep coming up with new
spyware and trojans faster than the programs can keep up.
