I have a relatively small set of files; less than 200 MB. I believe they are Nero v6 and PowerDVD4 related, but not absolutely certain. They came on an install CD bundled with drives that we received apparently from China and the file and folder names contain Unicode characters.
After scanning the directory of files and folders for over 16 hours, the following message was reported fifteen times:
LibClamAV Warning: System Error #6 not mapped, please report
... and it still did not think it was done.
Scanning the same directory of files with several other AV tools takes five to ten minutes each. (None are reporting infections, BTW, and are reporting something in the neighborhood of 1610 files scanned, or 5500+ if counting contents of .cab and other archive file types).
Ran with:
>clamscan.exe --detect-pua -r e:
When canceled, it reported:
Scanning aborted...

error 6 is ERROR_INVALID_HANDLE, very strange, maybe in the cleanup code after the stop, anyway it's harmless for you

You may want to exclude the file(s) from future ClamWin scans in the Filters configuration for a while.

It is/was happening without attempting to stop the scan.

This happens to me as well. It appears that ClamWin is unable to scan files or directories with Chinese characters in them.
