when i try use the same method to throbber & timectrl i think its perfectly ok and this is the input & output

I think maskedctrl patch is not suitable for that version of wxwindows, need to ask alch if it's still needed here

you either need to use the wxWidgets version 2.4.2.4 as specified in INSTALL document or use a later version of wxWidgets and modify clamwin code to make it work.

Hi Alch,

By mean are you trying to say that building clamwin is not complete because i use documentation provided by your website and now you ask me to find some other software which is not stated in the documentation itself and at the same time you ask to do a modification on clamwin source code. Now, i found its complicated because each and everyday i got a different kind of reply for questions that i forwarded each and everytime. So which is which i have to follow now. I dont think so able to do a modification on this source code, it may time consuming. Please guide me on the problem that i'm facing now. URGENTLY..

Another info....i used python23 and wxpython 2424....as in the clamwin documentation....is that wrong

You need to follow the instructions stated in the documentation (INSTALL document in the source tree) and use the specified version of the wxWidgets 2.4.2.4 then patches won't fail because they were made for this version of wxWidgets and that is what we use when building Clamwin. I think INSTALL document is very clear.

If you want to use any other version of wxWidgets then you will need to modify the clamwin code yourself.

I don't want to sound rude but I think it would be worthwhile if you did some research before asking questions, use google or any other search engine and you will find most of the answers you need. If you ask direct relevant questions then you will get a direct response.

I have used the method that you gave me and it is as what it stated in the documentation provided by clamwin .The error message that i have send to you is the error i'm getting with the use of wxpython 2424. The info that you gave is already stated in the documentation itself and i did follow as what in it. I did go through the install documentation but its providing same info as what in the Building Clamwin documentation. Its still gives error even i have tried in many ways even by goggling other website to find other source/info. throbber & timectrl is working perfectly as i send the message earlier with the use of wxpython 2424 but i still facing problem with MASKEDEDIT even i used same software. How do i find the solution to solve it......

Obviously the wxPython code you have is different from the one we build with. You can open the patch in the text editor:

Then look inside your maskededit.py around the patched line of code and figure out yourself what should it be, it should not be difficult. You need to understand how the code patches are applied and how to fix it if you want to develop a GPL product.
