EICAR files not detected on Windows 7

I am running Windows 7. I downloaded the EICAR .com and .zip files, and ran clamwin on the download directory; it said zero infected files. I then ran clamwin on each of the EICAR files individually, and again it said there were no problems to report.

I've seen from other postings that other people are running Windows 7; has anyone else successfully detected the EICAR files on Windows 7?
