I am a developer and recently used this scanner along with a very-good mail-server (lumisoft.ee)
The startup time is fastidious, and as we scan each mail in a different process (as external line-command) the startup and database reading kills my server performance badly!
Some other products have a internal process to keep the scanner+database in memory and the scan interface only launches a pipe toward the actual resident process (daemon / windows service) this is flash-fast for scanning incoming and outcomming mails.

any help is welcome
I am a good C# programmer working under .NET 2.0 in windows adn can help to make something out of this idea, but my ATL/ C++ knowledge is not so good.
