Is there a way to get ClamWin to show in the summary that it skipped password protected zip and rar files or any other files for that matter? If I look real close I can see it skip or warn about the files, the message scrolls by right fast, I would think it would also show in the summary.

I don't believe that is possible at this time. Scans (and reports) are only geared toward information about files that are scanned.

I think there is a cls after the warnings go by, thus erasing the passworded file warnings and any other warnings too. I tried adding the -v command line switch but the passworded file warning zips by too fast to read.

Scanning o:\setup3517 Virus\setup3517a.zip

----------- SCAN SUMMARY -----------
Known viruses: 623496
Engine version: 0.95.2
Scanned directories: 0
Scanned files: 1
Infected files: 0
Data scanned: 1.02 MB
Data read: 1.02 MB (ratio 1.00:1)
Time: 6.920 sec (0 m 6 s)

You might read this as saying the file is not infected when it is, but couldn't be opened because it is protected by a password, thus it actually has not been scanned and the report is incorrect.

Ok, I can have encrypted files marked as viruses if I include the --block-encrypted switch, this at least lets me know to look closer at the files in question even if it is a false positive.

There is a virus in setup3517a.zip, I put it there. There is not a virus in New WinZip File.zip, there is only a text file in there. I can live with this type of false positive though.

There is a way to get scan output to go to a file but since version 0.95, it is pretty involved. Please PM me if you are interested and I'll see what I can do.
