ClamWin Free Antivirus :: View topic

Hi,

I must have a virus on my system that is afrade of ClamWin.

- closes browser window (IE and FF) when I go to clamwin.com or the forums. I could download it from sourceforge.

- tries to stop clamwin to install , but since clamwin installer asks for confirmation when one tries to close it in the middle of instaltion, I managed to install calmwin and saying No so many times.

- Closes clamwin when I open it to scan my harddrive. I tried to setup a scheduled scan but clamwin is complaining that the Virus database is missing!!

What is your suggestion?

When I open CalmWin Log , it looks like this:

freshclam daemon 0.88.2 (OS: win32, ARCH: x86, CPUi686)
CalmAV update proccess started at Sun Apr 30 12:16:00 2006
Control+C pressed, aborting...

I see above repeated many times.

You need to download the virus database, open clamwin and go to Tools menu

I wish I could ! This viruse closes ClamWin as soon as I open it. It doesnt let me download the database. Look at the log I posted.

I have removed the hard drive and Im now scaning it by another computer.

You can download the database manually from the web.
