I believe it means that the Clam database has become corrupted somehow. If you have some "personal" signatures included in the database, it could mean that they are in the wrong format. Anyhow, delete the main and daily files in the database and download the virus database updates again and see if that solves the problem. The database location is mentioned in the File Location Folder in ClamWin's configuration menu.
