Hello there!
I followed all your advices and even got in touch with Malwarebytes Support about some viruses found by Clamwin and not Malwarebytes, and they said that the only option is to reformat the drive and reinstall the operating system. they also said that I have a File infector malware or rootkits, which are files which inject code into virtually every single executable, screensaver and other files. This is virtually impossible to remove because I cannot clean all the files due to the sheer number. If I miss one file, the entire system becomes reinfected thereby starting the whole clean up process all over again.
The last report I got says this:
C:\$RECYCLE.BIN\S-1-5-21-2363400260-1360647099-1246126957-1000\$R57H41A.msp: W32.Virut.Gen.D-163 FOUND
C:\$RECYCLE.BIN\S-1-5-21-2363400260-1360647099-1246126957-1000\$RB2EEV1.msp: W32.Virut.Gen.D-163 FOUND
C:\ProgramData\.clamwin\$R2UZCHI.msp.infected: W32.Virut.Gen.D-163 FOUND
C:\Users\All Users\.clamwin\$R2UZCHI.msp.infected: W32.Virut.Gen.D-163 FOUND
----------- SCAN SUMMARY -----------
Known viruses: 572411
Engine version: 0.95.2
Scanned directories: 25022
Scanned files: 178893
Infected files: 4
I can clearly see that I have those viruses but I can't find them and delete them. So... do I really have to format my computer????????????
please answer me as soon as u can.
Thanks a lot Guitar Bob
