ClamWin comes with a default infected file option of Report to prevent from removing/quarantining files that have false positive detection (a false detection that is not a real virus--it is just similar to one) . You can also set it to Remove or Quarantine. If you are sure the detection is not a false positive but is a real virus, you can reset the infected file option and rescan and ClamWin will do what you requested. You can also navigate to the the file in Windows Explorer and manually delete it from your computer.

You can verify an "infected" file with Jotti or VirusTotal on the web. Either service will scan your files (one at a time) with multiple antivirus programs, including Clam AV (which provides the scanning engine/signature database) for ClamWin. If several other AVs besides Clam find an infection (I like to see at least 5 AVs) , it is probably real, and you can Remove/Quarantine the file in your next ClamWin scan. If the file turns out to be a false positive, you can to to the Clam AV web site and report it as a false positive. When you get to the submission form, be sure to check the false positive block, tell them the exact name of the "virus," and tell them why you think it is a false positive in the comments section.

If you have the same virus detected in several different files, it is likely a false positve, but you should verify one of them with Jotti/VirusTotal.
