This is the information provided by Gmail: http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=13287 http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=13287
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - requires TLS or SSL:
smtp.gmail.com (use authentication)
Use Authentication: Yes
Port for TLS/STARTTLS: 587
Port for SSL: 465

However, I tried both port numbers but neither of them work.
What is the correct setting for ClamWin to send email through Gmail server alerts upon virus are detected?

Thanks.

Not a direct answer to your question, but I've found ClamSentinel a very, very good scanner for webmail, email, etc., regardless the browser, email client and configuration or webmail app.

I do not think it is possible. Even ClamWin itself is not being supported very well by the developer. It has been about 2 years now since there has been a ClamWin update. It is now very slow in loading the signature database and in scanning.

Thank you for the answer GuitarBob! It would be a great feature even though there have not been an update for a long time now...

Actually, there was finally an update to ClamWin in June, so it is not dead just yet. Get it if you are still using ClamWin, and install it as an administrator so it will scan system files in memory scans. Clam AV for Linux will soon have another update within the next few weeks, and we will see if the ClamWin developers make the updates to ClamWin. Even if they do, I do not think they are interested in any new features/improvements for ClamWin. It is just not worth it to improve a free, open source antivirus like ClamWin.
