I saw on the ClamWin Wiki that the ClamWin developers are looking for magazine/radio mention of ClamWin. That's too passive! As ClamWin gets closer to the version 1.0 roll-out, I suggest the developers consider starting a "buzz" about the product. One way to do this is to prepare a press release and submit it to several of the online computer/IT/security firms--such as ComputerWorld, etc. In the press release, they could describe what ClamWin is (including the Open Source designation), tell a little bit about its history, indicate the 1.0 improvements, and (most of all) indicate that it is open source and free--with voluntary contributions accepted, of course. This should be done a couple of months (at least) prior to roll-out. There are a few reputable Web-oriented public relations firms to which you could also submit the press release.
Regards,
