Look at the win.ini file and see if there is something in the LOAD= line.

Look in c:\documents and settings\all users\start menu\programs\startup

for suspicious files. Especially hidden ones.

also, it goes without saying, look in

c:\document and settings\your username goes here\start menu\programs

for the same kind of things.
