Why would ClamWin do anything like that?
Are you having problems with ClamWin destroying database files or was it just a question? Backup the database before scanning and then compare the database files to make sure nothing happened to the scanned one if you are nervous. Make sure you are not having the "Remove"-option selected, alternatively you could exclude the folder which contains your database files. |

With ANY file level virus scanner you should exclude the working exchange directories. If a virus get's into your EDB files, the virus scanner may detect the virus pattern, and could delete your exchange databases.
