My computer was infected by an virus from browser download. the homepage was highjacked and it is running slower than before. So I decide making a new install and install ClamWin after that. How can I burn Windows 10 ISO to an external USB?

I suggest you do some research on the web for that topic--buring a file/application to an ISO file. You can find information about almost any topic on the world wide web.

When you install ClamWin, be sure to right click the ClamWin executable file and select to run it as an administrator. This will enable ClamWin to scan more files.

Also, be sure to use ClamWin with a real-time antivirus because ClamWin can not scan in real-time. Use the real-time Av as primary AV and use ClamWin as a backup--with a scheduled scan each day.

Does the real-time scan slow down the performance?

Some AVs will affect performance more than others in scanning. However, in a real-time scan you are only scanning when a file is placed on your computer or when it is accessed by the operating system, so this is negligible. In a scan of the entire system, it might take 30 minutes to an hour or so, depending upon the Av. The few milliseconds or so used for a real-time scan are worth it.

You don't have to restore the operating system for many virus infections now. A good cleaner like Malwarebytes Free or Dr. Web's Free Cure it can clean up most infections. Also run Kaspersky's free TDSS cleaner which will take care of most rootkits.
