When buying a new PC which antivirus to install? :
Previously I tried to use AVG
Could anyone recommend me some good alternatives?

These forums are for the ClamWin free, opensource antivirus, so we can't help much here.
I suggest that you look at the AV Comparatives tests on their web site. Any of the AVs tested will be a good choice. Look at the Real World tests. The AV Tests and Virus Bulletin organizations also perform regular testing, but I think AV Comparatives is the best tester.
You can use ClamWin as a backup, second opinion scanner. It will not conflict with a real-time AV because it scans "on demand" as scheduled or when you do a manual scan.

Good! Bitdefender is one of the best AVs. Be sure to configure it for automatic updates. Also get a copy of Malwarebytes free and do a manual scan with it each week.
