ClamWin uses the virus signatures and scan engine provided by the Clam Av project for Linux email servers. The ClamWin developers merely prepare a Windows port from the Clam AV Linux source code. Clam AV is responsible for all virus signatures and detection.
If you scanned the file on Virus Total and ClamWin was the only AV to detect it as infected, Virus Total should send a copy of the erroneously detected file to Clam Av so they can correct their signature. It may help if you upload a copy of the falsely-detected files to Clam AV via the Contacts link on their main web page at https://www.clamav.net/ on the web. Be sure to select the False Positive menu item. It might take Clam AV a week or so to prepare a corrected signature, as no one works on the project full-time.
Thanks for using ClamWin!
