I have edited the ClamWin.conf file but when it is saved the changes are not reflected in the GUI. I would think that they would change along with the actual file. If Clamwin runs on the clamav engine shouldn't there be a clamav.conf file? Just curious as to how to manage my clamwin scanning.
Thanks,
Aaron

ClamWin has its own configuration file--the Clam AV configuration file (Linux) will not work with ClamWin. There are therefore some Clam AV capabilities that are not available with ClamWin. Use of a command line is also very limited with ClamWin.

Delete your old ClamWin config file, replace it with your new one, and see if it is now available. First, however, copy the old config file somewhere in cas something goes wrong so you can use it again.

Thanks for using ClamWin!

Actually, the conf file was moved to C:/Users/Yourname/AppData/Roaming/.clamwin. Not sure why the one in Program Files is still there.

As far as I know, it's always been there with newer versons of Windows. Clam Sentinel is also.

I believe the conf file in Program Files is for OSes without User folders, like Win 98.

Ah, OK. I have always told Alch to just drop support for everything under XP. Sometimes I feel XP should even be dropped, but I still see some users on here still use Windows server 2003 and such, so maybe just start out with dropping everything under XP.
