"Good" web sites are often compromised/infected and serve up exploits to visitors.

I have seen as much as couple of hundred viruses on the computers of users who don't have a clue as to safe surfing/computer security; however, today's malware tends to be stealthy because the more viruses a trojan downloader puts on your computer, the better the chance of detecting something. Thirty three viruses is either a massive infection or a false positive due to some bad virus signatures--especially if multiple instances of the same virus(es) are detected.

Infected files can be deleted from your computer at any time. You should make sure they are truly infected however--they might be "false positive" detections. Sometimes an AV program can give a false detection. ClamWin gives more false positives than most AVs, and I suggest you upload quarantined files to Virus Total where it will be checked against 50+ AVs, including Clam AV which provides the signatures/scan engine for ClamWin.

I agree with GuitarBob to upload quarantined files to Virus Total which gives authentic result and provides an ultimate result.
