| How do I get permission to scan 100 percent of the drive |

You might have some results opening folders/files to scan if you run ClamWin as an administrator, but it can't open some files--some system files and files that are currently running.
Since ClamWin is not a real-time scanner, make sure that you use it with a real-time scanner for better protection against active malware. Thanks for using ClamWin! Regards, |

If you run your system in safe mode, you may get better results then as less system will be running at the time. As Bob said, some files just can't be opened. If ClamWin can be run as a service, it may also get even better results.

One user told how to set up ClamWin as a service a year or so ago. I have never tried it. It is a bit involved, and I think it should be made easier for the average ClamWin user. I referenced it to the ClamWin developers, but nothing has happened. You can find it at https://forums.clamwin.com/viewtopic.php?t=4178 on the ClamWin forums. Let us know if you ever try it.
