I just went looking through Firefox extensions and noticed there is an extension for ClamAV/ClamWin that allows you to scan downloads using the ClamScan and ClamAV database signatures. I just want to know who is writing this and if he is apart of ClamWin, at all? It is located here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/fireclam/?src=search and it is open-source just like ClamWin and ClamAV.

The extension for scanning Firefox Thunderbird email with ClamWin was created some time ago, but it was not done under the ClamWin project. The only email scanning extension done under the ClamWin project is the one for Microsoft Outlook (not Outloook Express). At one time, the ClamWin developers considered developing more scanning extensions, but it stopped with the Outlook extension. There may also be a couple of more extensions around for some of the lesser-known email programs, but they are not supported by the ClamWin developers.
The Clam Sentinel add-on to ClamWin will scan any file extension included in the Clam Sentinel extensions to scan (including email extensions) as files with those extensions are added, copied, or modified on a computer.
