Hello!

Next steps can help to improv usability:

1. Add settings to disable ClamWin autostart during system boot time.
Antivirus is used just for checking of some specific files usually, it not needed to be loaded always.

2. Add minimize or go to tray button for scanning log window.
Or show log information inside main window(in this case child window for log is not needed)

3. Add such kind of 'PAUSE' functionality for scanning.

Thank you

On-access component is being worked on.

I also recommend reading this great thread: https://forums.clamwin.com/viewtopic.php?t=377

In my opinion, there is no need for that since you should not be playing games / surfing the web or do other activitys while scanning for virii/spyware, defragmenting harddrive, "checkdisking" or such. But that's my opinion.

EDIT: Great! I see the quotation's working fine now Smile

IMO, a pause button could be usefull, since it can occur that you need to quickly check something while the scan is busy. In that case it would be nice to have full performance for the task you need to do, and afterwards just continue with the scan.

Modern computers has enough perfomance to make several job concurently. Virus checking is a time consuming task, it must work in a parrallel as background task. Yes, It needs lot of CPU but this resource can be normally divided by OS between a tasks.

Current GUI is targeted to batch-mode processing:
1. add task.
2. excecute it.
3. terminate or wait until finish to see log.

That is not always convenient.
For example: if you have decide to modify scanning task a little when scanning process is alredy going.

The next major version will have more advanced features such as Pauze and Minimize buttons.

Though if you have started a task and want to modify it, you will have to shut it down, modify it, and run it again.
