October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month! Always use the latest available version of ClamWin and any other security software, set it for autromatic updates, daily scans, and use real-time scan mode (if available).

Always use the latest available version of your web browser. Keeping your browser updated is more important than what brand of browser you use. Configure the browser for safety and security. Use the security defaults at least, and, if available--use website filtering, tracking protecting, and download file checking.

Use automatic Windows updates and configure them for at least weekly updates. Get the important updates and the updates for any Microsoft software you use.

Configure your other important software--such as Adobe Reader/Flash and Oracle Java for automatic updates at least weekly.
