I have tried different anti-virus like MCAFEE, AVG, Norton and Eset. From those 4 anti-virus schedule update also happen differently like AVG and Norton it only automatically updates once a day while mcafee it update for months or longer than that, and Eset automatically updates occurs 3-4x a day which make me annoyed sometimes. For one missed update it will turn to orange color as a warning. I wonder if clamwin has also automatically update or it have to update manually like mcafee, avg and norton? And, how many update in a day?

ClamWin usually has several updates per day. You can either update it manually or you can schedule updates at different times--including hourly, daily, or weekly via the configuration menu, internet updates tab. Click the block to enable automatic internet updates, select your update frequency, and click OK. Choose hourly updates if you are on the internet a lot.
The updates come from the Clam AV people, who also furnish their scan engine to the ClamWin project.
Thanks for using ClamWin.
