I find I am getting the scan stalling around this file \Local Settings\Temp\clamav-06765b1f2bf4732ac399fc8f1fccc3e6.00000f04.clamtmp: [ 19%]
Any suggestions?

Sorted that out by deleting the file. No happily buzzing away
|

Those types of files are temporary files created by ClamWin during scanning. It should automatically delete them at the next reboot. You can also delete them manually.
