Is it possible to disable clamwin when installing a new internet explorer?

You can temporarily disable ClamWin by selecting Exit from the ClamWin icon in the system tray. There should not be any need to do this, however, as ClamWin does not scan in real-time. It is an on-demand scanner that only scans when you do a manual scan or when you have scheduled a scan at a certain time.
If you are using the Clam Sentinel real-time front-end to ClamWin (a separate project), you can disable Sentinel by selecting Stop from the Sentinel icon in the system tray. Be sure to Start it again when you are through. Sentinel will also activate again if you reboot.
