ClamWin reports that it can't open this file because permission is denied. I've searched around the web, but I can't find out anything about this thing. I guess I don't need it. I just finished cleaning up something unidentifiable that had taken over parts of my computer, and I think this may be a remnant. But, I'm afraid to try to delete it the regular way. Is there a way to safely erase mystery files? Thanks.

Try to upload the file to Virus Total or Jotti on the web. Either service will scan the file for you with multiple AV programs. That should tell you if it is an overt virus, but it doesn't sound like it with a name like that. Note the MD5 has on Virus Ttotal or Jotti and do a Google search for that to see if you can find any more information on thel program. It sounds like, as you said, some sort of remnant from another program.

If you don't need the file, see if you can manually delete the thing. The Malwarebytes antimalware program will delete most any file for you via the File Assasin tool. It may be available in the free version--try that as a last resort.

VirusTotal gave it the all clear. I used the File Assasin (free) and it looks like it is gone. Thank you very much for your help.
