Uninstall ClamWin and then re-install it and see if that fixes things. It works fine for me on Win 7.

Thank you for supporting Clamwin. ClamWin is usually very reliable in operation, but a re-install can fix certain types of problems, and deleting the main/daily/bytecode signature database files can sometimes fix problems with updating. A warning: set ClamWin's Infected Files Option to Report Only (do not Quarantine or Remove), in case you have a false positive (not a real virus) detection on an important Windows file--you do not want to lose access to your system when it is falsely quarantined/removed. You can verify any file ClamWin reports as infected by uploading it to the Jotti or Virus Total free online scanners. ClamWin does have false positive support for Vista and Windows 7 system files.
I'm sure you are aware that ClamWin is an on-demand scanner--it only scans when you "demand" it--via a scheduled scan or a manual scan of a file from the Windows Explorer right click menu. If you are on the web a lot, you need a "real-time" scanner that scans files when they are accessed or placed on your computer. We recommend you use ClamWin as a backup to a real-time scanner.
Some good free real-time scanners are: Microsoft Essentials, Avira's AntiVir, and Alwil's Avast. The Clam Sentinel Project at https://sourceforge.net/projects/clamsentinel/ on the web lets you add a real-time "front-end" to ClamWin. Sentinel scans files when they are added, copied, or modified on your computer, and you sill still have ClamWin's on-demand scan capability. Sentinel also informs you when suspicious files are placed on your computer, and it will quarantine suspicious files that appear to contain unknown malware. You should have ClamWin installed/configured before installing Sentinel. Be sure to read the Sentinel Simple Guide/instructions before using it.
Regards,
