I am going to defrag my registry with Advance System Care. A notice advises me to temporarily deactivate my anti-virus program. What is the best way to do that and how do I reactivate it?

Hmm. I defraged my registry recently and did not have to stop ClamWin with Clam Sentinel or Malwarebytes. Make sure the registry defragger is a legit program. Upload it to Virus total or Jotti to see what multiple AVs say about it.

If it is an okay program, you can click on the ClamWin icon in your system tray and select Exit. When you are ready to use it again, just reboot your computer.

Regards,

yes Bob is correct you don't need to close clamwin to defrag registry, perhaps it would a better idea if you don't scan registry while clamwin is scanning Smile
