Well, I've just registered. I did this because on page: https://www.clamwin.com/ it says,
"ClamWin is a Free Antivirus program for Microsoft Windows7 / Vista / XP / Me / 2000 / 98 and Windows Server 2008 and 2003. And yet every time I try to download the program, IE crashes.
Any help would be appreciated Crying or Very sad

This does not sound like an operational problem with ClamWin. ClamWin works okay with Win 98, although a few people have had some problems in special situations. Once you get it working, the Clam Sentinel (a separate project from ClamWin) front-end enables real-time scanning with ClamWin on older computers.

There may be some sort of configuration problem at your end. I recall that Win 98 did not come with a firewall. Do you have one now? If so, you may have to configure it to allow a download from the ClamWin site. There could be a similar situation if you are using a proxy to acces the internet or are in a business/network environment behind corporate protection.

Do you have any problems downloading other programs from the internet? Are you able to contact/visit other antivirus sites--like F-Secure at https://www.f-secure.com/en_US/ or Trend Micro at https://us.trendmicro.com/us/home/ on the web?

Please get back here if none of this applies to your situation.

Regards,
